MSD DashHawk Vehicle Information Display Now Available at Select Dealers

MSD starts shipping the DashHawk vehicle information display for OBDII cars with CAN connector support.
Keep a sharp eye on your vehicle's performance and vitals with MSD's new information display, the DashHawk! Your vehicle's computer contains a wealth of information and the DashHawk lets you tap into it all!

With the DashHawk, you can truly understand how your vehicle is performing ‑ which means you can drive more fuel efficiently on the road, race faster at the track, and spot maintenance issues before they leave you stranded. Since the DashHawk saves and records maximum values (password protected), you can also see how someone else has driven your car when you are not behind the wheel. The DashHawk displays all this information the way you want to see it, either as a bar graph or digitally.

Simply connect the DashHawk to the diagnostic port and you have access to over 100 parameters on 11 separate screens. Navigation through the screens is as simple as the push of a button. Values such as speed, engine rpm, oil pressure, coolant, oil and transmission temps, throttle position, engine load and a host of other parameters can all be viewed via the DashHawk.

Ford Announces:
Shelby GT Soon In Dealer Showrooms

Ford & their Bold Moves campaign shows how they plan to become more nimble in developing cars quicker without the watering down of concepts. This episode covers the new Shelby GT that'll be on dealer showroom floors for 2007!

Shelby GT

The styling is undeniably Shelby. From the aluminum grille with the offset pony & bars emblem to the hood scoop and racing stripes. It's a classic combination that will never go out of style. It'll be availalbe only in Performance White (shown) & Black.

The exterior becomes functional with the use of a set of 18 inch, chrome wheels, wrapped in P235/55ZR tires, further complimented by the Ford Racing Handling Pack -- a setup engineered by the same group of experts who came up with the FR500C, which won the 2005 Grand Am Cup Championship. The package includes a new set of springs, lowering the car's ride height by an inch and a half. This will serve two purposes -- lowering the center of gravity thereby reducing body roll and giving the car a very aggressive stance, ridding the Mustang of the usual "4x4" look when delivered from the factory. A stiffer set of shocks & struts along with increased diameter front sway bar rounds out the handling package which is compliant enough for street use and yet aggressive enough for mild track duty. Any chance in missing those upgraded parts when looking underneath the new Ford Shelby GT?
Nope. Ford decided to paint them all Ford Racing Blue so there's no mistaking these pieces for stockers.

4.6l Modular

The Shelby GT will be powered by a 4.6l modular 3-valve motor producing 325 horsepower & 330 ft-lbs of torque. How's it get that new found power? They've utilized the Ford Racing Power Pack which includes a 90mm cold air intake kit and a hi-po calibration for the computer to compensate for the added power. The Shelby people also gave it a new, high flow exhaust system including an X-pipe instead of a standard H-pipe. Rounding out the drivetrain is a Hurst short throw shifter topping the transmission, rowing the gears & sending the power out to a rear-end upgraded with a numerically higher gear set. It's a great combo!

Dash

The Shelby GT's interior is also given subtle cues tipping you off to it's Shelby heritage. A plate with a unique identifier will be affixed to the dash and the firewall, authenticating your vehicle as an original Shelby and recorded in the Shelby Automobiles registry. You'll also get a set of Shelby floor mats and brushed aluminum sill plates featuring the Shelby logo.

Slide
All Shelby GTs will begin their lives as stock Mustang GTs built at the Flat Rock, Michigan plant. Once completed, they'll be sent to the folks at Shelby in Las Vegas to begin the transformation. They'll reach their final destination shortly thereafter, arriving at a dealer's showroom near you.
Get one before they're all gone!
